Finding Time for Joy

Did you know that time is the most precious currency we have?

Our time is traded for work, money, food, objects, creative ideas, clothes, etc. Everything we do involves our time and every single one of us has it.
Our time is worth more than anything because once it’s gone, it’s gone! We cannot press rewind, buy it, or do anything to get it back because every
moment, every second, it continues moving forward. Just like the sun will always rise and fall, our time will keep on ticking, no matter what is
happening in the world around us.

Ask any mature, wise elder and most of them will tell you that the majority of their regrets, if any, have something to do with making better choices
with how they used their time.

It’s true!

According to Bonnie Ware, an Australian in palliative care who wrote the book, The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, there are 5 common themes of
regret that surfaced amongst her patients that were preparing to transition.

Bonnie shared the most common five regrets as:

  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
  5. I wish I had let myself be happier.

In the end, the regrets all came down to having many unfulfilled dreams, not creating more time and space outside work, not being more truthful and
honest with others, not staying connected with loved ones, and not choosing to be happier.

All of these have one thing in common… CHOICE.

Interestingly enough, these are the most common things my professional coaching clients need support on, including how to make more money in
their businesses by leveraging their time, without the pain of working long and hard hours.

We get to choose to make better choices about how we want to spend our time and adjust accordingly, but sometimes we realize this too late. Don’t
wait until it’s too late!

Instead of continuously trading your time for work or money, exchange your time for life, love and happiness. With the support of a life coach, you can
get support to be more present in your life, make choices that improve your quality of life, and love the life you are living – right now!

If not now, when?
